CHATSWORTH- The swift investigation from SAPS Chatsworth police resulted in the arrest of two suspects who were wanted for murder of Zwelithini Ngubelanga (44). On Saturday, 18 June 2016 at approximately 11:30pm, Ngubelanga was allegedly attacked by two suspects who stabbed him several times and was taken to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The motive for the killing is still unknown. A case of murder was opened at Chatsworth police station for investigation. On Sturday the members proceeded to Bottlebrush Informal Settlement in Crossmoor where they arrested the suspects age between 26 and 28. They will appear in the Chatsworth Magistrates Court today.
KwaZulu-Natal Acting Provincial Commissioner, Major General Bhekinkosi Langa commended the officers for the successful apprehension of the suspects and assures the community that KwaZulu-Natal police officers are committed towards ensuring that all cases reported to the police are dealt with efficiently and perpetrators of crime are brought to justice.
