DURBAN – Fifteen people have sustained serious injuries after the taxi they were travelling in veered off the roadway and rolled several times on the N3 Durban Bound before Spaghetti Junction just after 07:30am today.
Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that the taxi had left the roadway coming to rest on its side in the bush. A total of fifteen patients had been injured with most of the patients having sustained serious injuries. Several ambulances together with Advanced Life Support paramedics worked to stabilise the injured before transporting the patients to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.
At this stage the exact cause of the collision is unknown however the necessary authorities were on scene and will be investigating further.
