WESTVILLE – Reports of a stampede at The Pavilion shopping mall this morning have been dispelled by center management.

It was alleged that shoppers were injured during a stampede that broke out in the Pavillion this morning, however, center management  has confirmed that there was no stampede at The Pavilion. “There was an influx of customers taking advantage of the Black Friday specials,” said Julie-anne Zuma, Marketing Manager for The Pavilion center management.

While it was reported that shoppers were injured, center management has dismissed this as a rumor.  “Paramedics are on standby as a precautionary measure, however, no injuries have been reported,” said Zuma.
