GREENWOOD PARK – A man was found dead in a crashed vehicle on Buttery Road at 7 pm on Tuesday night.
The 40- year-old man was discovered with a bullet wound to the chest while an abandoned fire arm and cartridge littered the road approximately 2o meters from the scene.
Responding to a reported vehicle collision, Marshal Security’s armed reaction officers discovered the man in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that had collided into a tree, veering off the road. “The man suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead on the scene when paramedics arrived,” said Kyle Van Reenen of Marshall Security.
SAPS were on the scene and an inquest docket has been opened said Warrant Officer, Leon Audh of the Greenwood Park SAPS.
