UMHLALI – An elderly man was shot at a wedding celebration at approximately 9 pm on Sunday night.
IPSS Paramedics found the man (51), believed to be the owner of the venue, lying outside next to the pool with a fatal gunshot wound to the chest.
Four guests were reportedly tied up and assaulted before the armed intruders escaped with small valuable items. “The four suspects fled the scene,” said Provincial spokesperson for the SAPS, Colonel Thulanui Zwane.
It has been reported that the guest were having a braai with the owner when the suspects attacked, armed with a shotgun, handgun and a baton.
” A murder case has been opened,” said Zwane.
No arrests have been made and SAPS are searching for the suspects.
