Around twenty people, including several school children on their way to school, were left injured this morning, after a bus and a taxi collided on Briardale Drive in Newlands West Durban around 7am .
Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that a taxi and a bus had collided, the bus then went through a residents wall. Many of the commuters had sustained various injuries. More ambulances were called to assist in the mass casualty scene and once all the injured were stabilised on scene they transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.
Briardale Drive was closed whilst emergency workers cleared the scene.
At this stage the exact cause of the collision is unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
