New signing Fred is expected to make his Manchester United debut tonight when they take on 2016 Premier League champions Leicester City at home but several other players are missing.

Antonio Valencia, Marcos Rojo, Diogo Dalot, Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic are all injured, while manager Jose Mourinho will check on the fitness of those who returned late from the FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Foxes manager Claude Puel has to decide on whether to include striker Jamie Vardy and centre back Harry Maguire who were both part of England’s World cup squad.

New signings Jonny Evans and James Maddison are available after injuries, Demarai Gray is also fit, while Ricardo Pereira and Rachid Ghezzal could be involved.

The Premier League opener is set to get underway at 21h00 tonight at Old Trafford.
