KWAZULU-NATAL – Hawks members arrested a 40-year-old Swazi national for human trafficking, abduction, rape and violating the Immigration Act.
The man was nabbed On Wednesday after members followed up on information about his whereabouts. The suspect allegedly abducted three children aged 5, 7 and13 in Swaziland last year. A case was opened at Mbabane and the docket was handled by the Interpol. Whilst in South Africa he allegedly repeatedly raped the 13-year-old until she fell pregnant.
The children were rescued last week and placed in the place of safety. Arrangements to reunite them with their biological mother are in progress.
He will appear in Durban Regional Court on Friday, 17 June 2016.
