DURBAN – One person has been killed and four others seriously injured after a collision involving two cars and a truck on the N2 North bound at 3 pm on Sunday.
Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the badly damaged vehicles occupying three lanes of the busy highway near the old airport. On arrival, paramedics discovered a man entrapped in one of the vehicles. Having sustained fatal injuries, he was declared dead on the scene. Four other occupants from both vehicles had sustained serious injuries and were stabilised by Rescue Care’s Advanced Life Support Paramedics before being transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.
At this stage the exact cause of the collision is unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
