RIVERHORSE VALLEY – An elderly man was injured in a multiple motor vehicle collision on the N2 just after 11:30 am today.
The man who is believed to be 70 years old, was driving along the N2, south bound. He sustained moderate injuries due to the collision and was attended to on the scene before being taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further care.
On arrival, Marshall Security’s Medical Support unit found a three- vehicle pile-up. The vehicles had collided, and one vehicle was careening off the roadway past the Armco barrier.
Traffic was severely affected, however, the eThekwini Metro Police were on the scene to assist.
The exact cause of the collision is unclear and the necessary investigations will take place.
