LA LUCIA – A domestic worker was caught red-handed with stolen goods on Wednesday evening at around 7 pm.
A stolen cell phone, jewelry, and various electronic devices were found in her possession after the cellphone was tracked to her location. “The cellphone was tracked to the Glen Anil area and armed reaction officers descended on the scene,” said Marshall Security’s Kyle Van Reenen. The woman’s employer had reported the incident to Marshall security as the theft was discovered. The domestic worker was handed over to the SAPS and the arrest was made shortly after 7 pm.
“The suspect was arrested and a theft docket was opened at the Durban North SAPS after the suspect was found to be in possession of the stolen items,” said provincial spokesperson for the SAPS, Colonel Thulani Zwane.
