South Africans have reacted strongly to the controversial sermon that was delivered at Grace Bible Church earlier this month that spoke out against homosexuality.
The comments sections under the articles giving coverage to TV personality and Idols SA judge Somizi Mhlongo’s disapprove of the pastor, are brimming with people’s personal opinions, with some siding with the pastor and others with Mhlongo.
The Ghanian pastor, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, was invited to the church in Soweto as a guest preacher when he condemned the homosexual lifestyle.
However, church representative, Reverend Ezekiel Mathole, said that the institution doesn’t discriminate against homosexuals. Meanwhile, Mhlongo broadcasted a video on social media stating that he had walked out. “This is who I am. I am a gay man. Get it straight into your skull. My soul is alright with my God. Let me deal with my God and my soul. Don’t tell me,” Mhlongo said in the video.
