Liverpool forward & Egypt captain Mohamed Salah has been shortlisted for the 2017/18 UEFA Player of the Year award and the ceremony will be on August 30.
Real Madrid playmaker Luka Modric and former team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined Italian Serie A champions Juventus after winning the UEFA Champions League with the Spanish La Liga giants, are the other players on the three-man shortlist voted for by coaches and journalists across Europe.
Salah was named PFA Player of the Year after his successful debut campaign at AnfieldĀ scoring 44 goals for Jurgen Klopp’s side last season, while Ronaldo scored 27 Spanish La Liga goals to add to his 15 in the Champions League.
Modric was instrumental in Croatia’s runner-up finish at theĀ 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and also won the FIFA Golden Ball.
