Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula has warned motorists to drive with caution to avoid accidents.
In Limpopo, it was reported that 45 people were killed in road accidents over this long weekend. It is confirmed that the highest death toll was recorded on the R81 in Maphalle, which claimed 24 lives.
According to traffic officers, most of the road accidents were results of reckless driving, unroadworthy vehicles and drunken driving.
