The KZN Cell C team based in uMhlanga recently assembled at the Haven of Rest home in oThongati to donate school bags full of books and stationery to help them conquer the 2017 academic year.

At least 27 children from the special home excitedly received these generous gift and a much anticipated lunch of KFC before indulging in a few games with the team of engineers, marketing consultants and other agents.

Managing executive for KZN Cell C, Dean Jooste, said that they were only too happy to help out a deserving organisation like this. “Every child needs those back to school goodies to learn and study. We thought it would be a great idea to start the new year with a staionery kit. We were glad to be out here making a small difference,” he said.

CEO and founder of the home, Pastor Ronnie Naidoo said that they were extremely grateful for the gesture and that it would go a long way. “It’s encouraging to see major corporates like Cell C getting involved in initiatives like this. It is only by the grace and goodwill of people that we get by and grow,” he said.
