UMHLANGA – On Sunday, November 27, a 25-year-old female car guard was raped in uMhlanga.
The car guard who lives near the taxi rank in Tanager Road, uMhlanga was accosted in her home and raped by an unknown suspect, it is alleged that the suspect gained entry into her Wendy house at 8pm, held a hand over her mouth to stop her from screaming whilst he forced her to engage in sexual intercourse without a condom.
Captain Raymond Deokaran of the Durban North SAPS said, “ The suspect approached the victim at knife point and proceeded to rape her. After a positive identification of the suspect from the victim , members of the SAPS managed to arrest and detain the suspect.”
