Multiple vehicles have been involved in a serious accident on the M19 in Durban and Pinetown bound, near the Blair Atholl off-ramp. Two vehicles had collided, before a third car had collided into oncoming traffic with one of the vehicles having caught alight and had burnt out completely.
According to Rescue Care Paramedic Garrith Jamieson, “A total of five people have been injured, with two sustaining serious injuries and have been treated by Rescue Care Advanced Life support paramedics before being transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.”
A secondary collision between two vehicles occurred due to the extreme traffic with passengers sustaining minor injuries. Police are currently investigating the incident.
