JOHANNESBURG – The Springboks left it until late to ruin an Irish party in Johannesburg on Saturday as the visitors were gunning for a historic series win on south African soil. It was not to be as a very determined Boks side came out with all guns blazing in the second half of the second Incoming Castle Lager Test. Allister Coetzee’s men trailed 3-19 at the half-time break, they turned it around in the second to win the match 32-26.
The final stop in the series is Port Elizabeth on Saturday. It’s 1-1 heading to P.E, the Irish are still in contention of making history while the boks will be looking to stamp their authority.
Coetzee is likely to face a selection headache, does he stick to the tried and tested or does he slot the replacements after their match winning performances in the second half.
